Welcome to my photo gallery. I am in the process of assembling a selection of photographs that I have taken over the years.

Most of the landscape pictures have been taken in one area, for example, the Lake District photo’s are mainly in the Far Sawrey area, because I have friends living there (Hi Simon, Christine and Alan!) and I occasionally spend some time with them.

Use the navigation bar at the top of the page to select the gallery pages.

To view a full screen picture, click on the preview image. This will open a new window with the message “Please Wait While Picture Loads” and a title box, which also contains a ‘Close’ button. When the picture has loaded, the title and close boxes will be moved to the base of the picture.

Please allow for the download time when selecting the full screen view of a picture. This is not usually too long, as most images are under 100KBytes. The ‘Thumbnail’ view images are usually less than 10KBytes.

Note that the pictures are optimized for an 800 x 600 pixel display setting.

Sunrise Jan 1st 2000

On Dec31st 1999, I thought, ‘that was one moment I must capture’. I emerged from home, near Manchester, at about 7am on the 1st of Jan, only to find the whole of the area blanketed in fog. I decided that I needed to climb above the fog layer, so I jumped into the car with my camera and flew (almost literally) up to ’Matchmoor Lane’, near Winter Hill, Lancashire. The view was wonderful and I made it just in time for the sunrise. You can see the fog blanket in the picture!

The full screen pictures may be copied to your computers ‘Desktop’ background. Simply click the right mouse button over the picture and select ‘Set As Wallpaper’ or ‘Set As Background’, depending on your PC’s settings.
